The Taste of Home Cooking Show is offering tasty gift bags to visitors.

The Taste of Home Cooking Show is preparing for a visit to Halifax, US and is armed with plenty of treats to entice attendees.

On November 8th it arrives at Halifax Community College's The Centre, offering everything from breakfast drinks to gourmet coffees and rare spices, The Daily Herald reports.

Free samples and gift bags full of foods, condiments and utensils will all be available, as well as the nationally famous cooking show in the evening.

Each visitor will receive a bag containing valuable coupons and samples from not only the attending food and drink companies but also national sponsors.

Throughout the day there will be a selection of top prizes, which will also include the chance for one lucky attendee to win a dish prepared by Taste of Home Cooking Show cook, Cheryl Cohen.

It's not just gift bags that will be on offer, as Kim Ellingson, from new firm Wildtree, told the newspaper that she would be handing out jobs and looking to train up people in the food industry.

"That's my main focus," the organic food wholesaler said, before adding that she was particularly excited as there were no similar stalls at the event.

As well being an enjoyable day out for families and individuals in Halifax, there will be plenty of chances to help community causes.

Attendees can enjoy a Mike Clark barbecue sandwich bag, which will help a local man pay for his impending heart transplant.

Visitors can also donate tinned goods to help the Union Mission feed the hungry in the Roanoke Valley in the run up to the festive season.

Seating is restricted but tickets can still be snapped up by anyone keen to learn a host of new recipes or to liven up their pantries with exciting ingredients.
